Description
Alex Janvier’s Morning Star is one of Canada’s most iconic Indigenous artworks, spanning 4,000 square feet on the domed ceiling of the Canadian Museum of History. Its vibrant red, blue, yellow, and white circular design tells a story of creation, spirituality, and the resilience of Indigenous peoples. The Morning Star Eco-Bag brings this masterpiece into daily life, allowing you to carry a piece of Canadian cultural heritage wherever you go while supporting the artist through royalties.
‘Morning Star’ was designed by Denesuline and Saulteaux Native artist Alex Janvier.
“Morning Star murals four sections represent the Medicine Wheel, culturally significant to many Aboriginals. There are four directions, four seasons, the elements (earth, wind fire, water), stages of life (infant, child, adult, and elder.) Also, the Denesuline people used the Morning Star as a traveling guide at night.” – Alex Janvier
Eco-bags are made with 100% unbleached cotton and water-based inks.
The bag is 39.4cm deep, 35.6cm wide with a 10.2cm gusset, zipper close, and with small compartment inside.

Works with casual classics: trench coat, jean jacket, cardigan, sneakers, loafers, or ankle boots.
